Royal castle of Blois

The Royal Castle of Blois is the main entrance on the "Val de Loire" as it represents the synthesis of architecture and history of the Loire castles. Its court offers a veritable panorama of French architecture from the Middle Ages to the 17th century. It was the residence of 7 Kings and 10 Queens of France.

4 pleasant walks to discover Blois through small bronze sign on the floor that we follow easily right out of the apartment. Ideal for strolling, shopping, enjoy a specialty in a tea room, the porcupine walk (photo) chosen as the emblem of Louis XII, leads us to the street trade, gardens of the castle. The Spires of Saint-Nicolas walking tour, the second one right out of the apartment, takes you to the district to the west of the town, around the former Abbaye Saint-Laumer.

Easy to come by train : Get off at "Blois Chambord" railway station. Take de gratis down-town "Navette" to "Orfèvres" each 7 minutes, 7 days per week and 10 minutes later you are arrived at the apartment !
